I had it working through the WebOS app screenplay. With that said, just buy a Chromecast TV dongle and call it a day. The jellyfin app for it works fine (except live tv is poorly implemented), CEC, 4K HDR works, etc. It is so much better than using WebOS, although now Google AND LG are tracking what you watch

I've got an LG 43” TV - LG43UP8000PTB running webOS 6.0 according to the LG spec sheet. I have rooted it successfully. I have Homebrew appstore installed. From Homebrew using webOS Dev Manager software I have force installed youtube ad-free which is working perfectly. I have also installed Kodi 21.0 Beta, which I presume is also working

This seems to happen because Node.js uses CA certificates built into its binary by default, and Node.js v8.12.0 (used on webOS 5/6) contains an outdated certificate for the Let's Encrypt CA (ISRG).
Just to be more specific the LG webos is 6.x version - should be based on chromium 79 according their docu .The idea is to use it to control kodi via it and move rpi4 somewhere more hidden place - can't & won't use 15m hdmi cable accessing via laptop browser or mobile browser ( firefox ) works just fine ( with and without user/password ).
